The Cure for Traffic: Part 2

If everyone drove by this simple rule traffic would easily be reduced in half:

If you are not driving faster than the cars in the lane to your right, YOU ARE IN THE WRONG LANE.

I know it’s not an official rule, but it is definitely the unwritten one.  It’s simple, the speed one should drive in each lane of the freeway should be 5 to 10 mph faster than the one to its right.  And this goes for the carpool lane as well.  I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen traffic backed up just because everyone is trying to go around some driver who actually thinks 65 mph is appropriate for the fast lane.  Wake up, people.  This is LA.  You want to drive the speed limit there are plenty of other lanes to do that in.  Otherwise, move over.

Think about it.
